have been on a tight budget since arrival of dd 2 yrs ago, so had to make painful switch from my usual mac, clinique and stila staples to maybelline, revlon and loreal foundation. but i find that they always end looking really cakey or never sit well with the wrinkles in between my eyebrows so am going to fork out the money to get myself a decent foundation this time. anyone got any recommendations? i can no longer remember which ones i used except Mac's face and body foundation (which they don't seem to sell in Malaysia where I am).

estee lauder is good and not THAT expensive

Boots No 7 - Intelligent Colour about £12 Goes on easy and looks natural.

Same as Furball for me, really pleased with it.

I've just bought a Boots Number 7 uplifting foundation, instead of my usual Prescriptives. was £12, minus voucher for £5 that I'd got for buying other stuff and for £7 I'm really impressed with it. If anything, it has better staying power than the prescriptives one but it looks light and natural.

The brilliant Chanel Vitalumiere is only about £15 isn't it? I don't think it's worth skimping on foundation tbh.

Another vote for No7 Intelligent Foundation

FrayedKnot · 01/04/2006 20:56

I got a free sample of teh No 7 intelligent cover, it seems really good.

We should be on commission!

nulnulcat · 01/04/2006 21:13

clinique is under £20

I'm impressed with the no7 one too

Jodee · 01/04/2006 21:42

Guess what - Intelligent Balance! SPF15 too. I had always used clinique before but the oil free foundation was too watery.

puddingandpie · 01/04/2006 22:43

estee lauder last for ages use foundation brush use less

I love No 7 Stay Perfect (long-lasting) and Radiant Glow (I use the latter when my skin feels dry). Boots 17 is also excellent value. But I am in love with Estee Lauder's double-wear, and although pricey, I am going to get it soon with my Boots points! Hope it is useful, Smile
