Can I 'SEE' large furniture items from argos, before I buy?

Hi

I'm thinking of buying a sofa from argos, just 'cos they're a lot cheaper than DFS, MFI etal, but wouldn't want to buy before seeing one. Do they have a warehouse or normal shop version of the store, where I would be able to see some sofas?

Homebase is the same company as Argos and they have some of the same larger items on display at their large stores.

No you can't.

We were offered a replacement sofa from their when we claimed on our insurance and they told us we couldn't see them.

You can at some of the bigger stores - there's one on the outskirts of Edinburgh that have the sofas on display, with fabric swatches etc.

Yes!! I'm not sure that all of the sofas are there (I haven't stopped to look tbh) but they def. have sofas in the shop Smile

I wish I'd have known that at the time.

Ended up settling for £300 less than what the vouchers were worth as a result!

Ah well.

bear in mind i live on the south coast with the SEA in walking distance edinburgh is just a bit too far to travel Wink

they sometimes have sofas and things on display at the Southampton big branch - but generally, with Argos furniture, you just have to bear in mind that everything will be smaller than you expect!

Ooo, thank you. I hadn't thought of Homebase, there's a store quite close to me so I'll have a look over the weekend. Think there's an Argos extra store in my area too Smile
