Genius kindle misprints

It looks as though kindle texts are uploaded by being scanned because there are often lookalike errors in the text such as 'the' being replaced by 'die'.

My new all-time favourite is from A S Byatt's Possession - in one of the passionate love letters from Christabel (Victorian lady poet, very proud and wary of love, just after kissing Randolph for the first time) it should say 'I cannot let you burn me up' but the kindle version says 'I cannot let you bum me up.'

This has made me very happy. Has anyone else found any accidental goodies?

In one of the books, the young protagonist, overcome by emotion, "laid his head upon his arse and sobbed"

notnowImreading · 03/11/2012 12:47

Grin what was that meant to be? Arms?

Oops - misquote!

I'll try again...

"laid his head upon his anus and sobbed"

Oh, that's even better. Grin

Ah yes I have seen these scanning errors but can't remember any right now.

What a lively mental picture of the sobbing man!
