M&P prima pappa rocker: Cleaning it..!!!

Anyone have this highchair..??

Lovely chair BUT a NIGHTMARE to clean. Ok I am fine with the tray and arms etc but how on earth do I clean the straps/harness..??? I can't see anywhere to remove them/it totally and either wash it by hand or shove in the washing machine.??

I can only wipe it down but due to the fabric of the straps I can't get out food thats well and truley molded to it! It now stinks [sad[. What do I do...????????

Wish I had got a chepo one that had less bits to clean. .

I had one of these too. Complete waste of money, IMHO. Still, the same with lots of baby products, isn't it? If I had known then what I know now...

we have got one of these too and I have just looked at it. I'm sure I've taken the straps off at some point as they are too clean to have put up with 2 kids in it. Have you got a small spanner set in the house? Maybe you can take the bolts off and put the straps in the washing machine? Plastic bits and all!
I don't think it's a complete waste of money, I love that it has the bar across the middle to stop it folding up, especially the was DS1 insists on standing on the thing when DS2 is in it. However, I agree that it's a pain in the ar*e to clean, but believe me I've cleaned lots of baby high chairs (used to work in a nursery) and none of them are easy to clean!

thanks. Just off to check now where the bolts are...last check I couldn't see anyway to remove the straps as they seemed to be threaded through the base of the seat and stitched together iykwim.....

I agree lucyju....lots of things are bought for baby and are useless!!!! Suppose thats what mumsnet is for ..!!!
