BLs DD is too small for one of those as they are for around age 4 plus or 15kg which she will not be as you use the normal seat belt with it...however I have one of \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3754511/Trail/C%24cip%3D36406.Toys%2Band%2Bbaby%3EC%24cip%3D36460.Baby%2Band%2Bnursery%2Bequipment%3EC%24cip%3D36466.Baby%2Band%2Btoddler%2Bcar%2Bseats.htm\these} that turns into one of those booster seats when he is big enough.

No. Those booster seats are just not safe enough for such a little girl. At 17 months your DD needs to be in a proper car seat with afive point harness.

If she was in one of those seats, or even a booster chair when so little and there was a crash she could be seriously injured or worse.

ja9 · 27/03/2006 15:07

so it was. sorry.

NannyL · 27/03/2006 19:35

NO they are not recommended until at least 6 years now 22kg...

they need back protection as well, ideally up until 25kg minimum.

A 17 month old should also most definitely be in a 5 point harness!

I totally agree, I wouldn't use a booster whilst she's still that little.

But how can \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3752908.htm\this} be suitable for 9m plus yet \link{http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1031450\this} is only recommended for 4 years plus? The Kid just looks far safer.....
