I bought the speedi last June as the car seat I wanted to buy would clip onto it, there was a carrycot available and the buggy seemed very spacious (being 6ft myself, I was not expecting a small baby!). At first I was very happy with my purchase, using the carrycot and car seat on the frame made it very flexible. When my baby outgrew the carrycot I attached the seat for the buggy and this is where the problems started.
Having just been used for 6 months the clips that adjust the handle height started to not work properly and would push in as we were walking along, a problem which got worse as he has got heavier. Then the foot break began to stick and eventually locked off. Obviously I cannot use the buggy with no break so I took it back to John Lewis to complain and was told that I hd to send it tothe manufacturer so they could decide if it was a product fault or if the broken break and handle were my fault (in which case I would have to pay for any repairs!). Either way I was told that the repairs would not be guarenteed so if the problem reoccurred, it was tough luck!
That is the stage I am at at the moment and would advise anyone not to buy this buggy and to think carefully about buying anything from the quinny range.
Any one else have any strong feelings either way aobut this buggy? Or about buying product from John Lewis- I have had endless problems from the start and almost did not get my buggy in time as nobody bothered to ring me about problems with the order and it too 20 phone calls to sort the problems out!
