FrannyandZooey · 22/03/2006 18:15

Misdee have you got lethal scissor type breasts? Shock Wink

Gloworm it is a specially strong necklace with beads on for babies to play with while they are breastfeeding (to avoid them twiddling with your hair / clothes / other nipple etc)

misdee · 22/03/2006 18:16

yes, they are meant to be really strong. i have emailed little gems.

popsycalindisguise · 22/03/2006 18:57

the gtreen one - spring something

rosebea · 12/04/2006 19:27

I had a look at those, I didn't think they looked terribly safe. To be honest I think I'd prefere to have a necklace that's a bit more grown up. I've only seen plastic ones though, are there many stockists in the uk does anyone know?

I have the pink one. It's not as big or bright as it appears on the website - a bit of a disappointment - but sturdy otherwise. Can't say it did much for DD, she's still pinching my nipples, but I like wearing it, especially when I'm at work, it reminds me of DD.

Popsy and Misdee - how funny to learn we all have them on this thread rather than on "our" March 05 thread :)

jmum6 · 12/04/2006 19:43

What a lovely idea, I've never heard of them before. I'd stopped wearing necklaces because of ds. Does anyone know if there is a stockest of something similar in the uk?

Cristina7 · 12/04/2006 19:47

There's someone called Lait d'amour, she posts on UKParents and sells on eBay. I think the bracelets and necklaces she makes are more colourful and plasticky, though, they don't look like "porper" jewelry, but they serve a purpose and you might find that's what you like.

OxyMoron · 12/04/2006 20:15

I think \link{http://www.bigmamaslings.co.uk\this place} now stocks little gems necklaces in the UK.

Cristina7 · 12/04/2006 20:30

Good to know, but I don't see any links for buying them. i bought a few things off that website and the service was always excellent.

OxyMoron · 12/04/2006 20:39

Look under the 'sling shop' link (on the menu on the left) - she sells more than slings, and I agree, customer service is excellent. Grin

rosebea · 16/04/2006 20:15

Did anyone find any of these that didn't look like something my daughter made me with ELC beads?
I just can't find one that not only looks attractive but safe enough for little hands too.
:)

Rumplebums · 17/04/2006 19:43

\link{http://www.rumplebums.co.uk/acatalog/Nursing_Necklaces.html\These ones} are what I bought, although I did break my first one by dropping it on a wooden floor! :(

They are really strong, and very pretty. I wear mine even if I ever get an evening out without the children! :)
