We are getting a Rayburn to cook on and heat the house and water. We were originally intending to get a solid fuel one as it frees us up from relying on gas and their price increases.
However am now worrying about the resale value of our house if we disconnect gas and remove the boiler - I can't see many buyers being as keen as us to stoke a rayburn several times a day.
Also, a gas one would be much easier to cook on and control.
Do we go the hippy route or the gas one. Opinions please!
