how do you organise your jewellery?

I've not got anything valuable enough to need a safe but I'm getting a bit sick of untangling necklaces and not being able to find a pair of earrings ever. Has anyone got any neat storage ideas?

It's a bit 70s but that's because I first started looking at jewellery in the 70s - use a cork noticeboard and longish pins - 2 for a necklace, 1 each for earrings etc. I guess it would probably be safest to have it inside a wardrobe door?

Sorry for the hijack, but it is appropriate in a way - Acnebride... look at the love package swap thread - I need your input!!!

I have one of those things w/all those pockets that hangs up in the cupboard.
