Wood Burning Stoves - Franco Belge or VILLAGER (not Clearview...)

They are the choice but I am interested if anyone has any experience of either make?
We're either going for the \link{http://www.franco-belge.co.uk/pages/fbmultifuel.html\Franco Belge Montfort} or the \link{http://www.firesonline.com/acatalog/Villager_Chelsea_High_Canopy_Stove.html\Villager Chelsea} (without the canopy). Dh prefers the Villager (and it's cheaper) but I'm not sure of their reputation.

We have the Franco Belge one. It's great. Very reliable and chicks out loads of heat. We liked it so much that we now have ! One at each end of the house (we have a long very narrow house)!

Thanks Yafta.

Any stove owners around tonight?

why not clearview?

villager pants IMO

nothing wrong with Clearview other than our budget. I started another thread yesterday where I inadvertedly wrote Clearview instead of Villager in the title. Subconscious longing...
I had a feeling Villager weren't great but wondered if I was wrong.

We are going to buy a euroheat harmony 13 tomorrow

We've got a villager, burns the wood really fast and doesn't chuck out a lot of heat and soots up really quickly. Also we can't keep it in over night even if we stock it right up and dampen it right down. I think we'll go for a clearview or a morso next time, finances depending!

villager not good

the franco belge are better IMO

(we have a clearview and my gawd it is fantastic)

I think that's decided me against the Villager then. Do you think the Clearview far exceeds Franco Belge then? We are going for a 5kw stove.
I don't know much about stoves (other than having one on holiday which smoked and gave off no heat). Is the Clearview more efficient with better heat?
