Todays Challenge is..............................transferring SMS texts from mobile to computer to save them.......please help me

I have got a SONY ERRICSON K750i mobile

and I want to put my SMS messages onto my computer

I have got a data cable thing

It goes from phone to USB

but can't work it out and it is driving me up the wall

Please someone help me
