Anyone got a Tiguan?

Thinking of swopping my Golf for a Tiguan the 4motion version.
Anyone got one?
Do you like it?

I love my Tiguan. And the one we had before even more. Only replaced it as new one is company car, loved Tiguan so much asked for same as company car.

No, but had a toureg- loved it! Friend had the Tiguan, likes it but says not much bigger than a golf but lots more expensive to run!

I have one, it's ok. That sounds like faint praise, but tbh I don't really like big cars, I just need one. I test drove a few and I found it the best compromise between having enough space and not being as huge as a tank. I much prefer my Fiat 500 though and only drive the Tiguan for longer journeys or when I need the boot space. It has a fairly dire turning circle, but I think most 4WDs do. I find it easier to reverse into a space in carparks where the road between the rows of spaces is quite tight.

I thought it was quite good value, it feels very luxurious and solid. I've only had it for 3 months so haven't tried snow but it was great in horrendous mud pits when other cars were getting very stuck, very high wind in exposed areas and country roads that are more pothole than road.

It's fine in snow and on ice BUT I use winter tires (necessary here). It's surprisingly light so wouldn't be great without.
