Driving on the M25 for the first time

Not sure if this is the right place to put this.

I am 37 weeks pregnant and need to drive to Maidstone next week to pick up a new window. I can't avoid the M25. I've never driven on a motorway before. Any tips? Is there a time of the day (needs to be during working hours) when it is likely to be quieter?

TIA

Highway code section on motorways

Have a look at your route and note the junction numbers where you will join and leave the motorway.

When you're joining the motorway, assess the speed of the traffic and match your speed to that before you're ready to join; keep a look out for suitable gaps in the traffic at the same time.

Keep in the left-most lane unless overtaking, or if this lane becomes an exit lane for the next junction.

The M25 isn't too bad as long as you're travelling outside of rush hours. There are some large sections that have variable speed limits which will warn you of congestion or queuing traffic.
