There's a BOGOF on Johnsons Holiday Skin moisturiser in Tesco at the moment... I am going on holiday in 6 weeks time and need to do something about my pasty flesh. Is this worth buying??

YES! Some people don't like the smell. My suggestion is to mix it w/Palmer's Coco Butter lotion.

I apply it nightly and then wash it off in the shower.

It's brill!

Do you know what? I was going to ask the same question today only I couldn't remember what the stuff was called?
Will be watching with interestSmile

expatinscotland · 16/03/2006 14:39

Make sure you exfoliate regularly. But this stuff is idiot proof.

GDG · 16/03/2006 14:39

I like it - I get the normal to darker skin one and use it every night (in the summer, not used it for months now) and it does give you a nice glow. It's not like a full on suntan but it builds up over time to a nice colour

BettySpaghetti · 16/03/2006 14:41

Is it the Johnson's one that has a different one for the face? Or can you use the body one all over?
Also, how long til you see a change in colour?

docket · 16/03/2006 14:42

Everyone raves about this stuff but every time I've tried it I've gone completely orange and streaky! Perhaps I'm using too much, do you put on the same amount as you would a body moisturiser?

GDG · 16/03/2006 14:43

You can get a face one now but last year they didn't have one - I just used the body one on my face and it was fine. Takes a few days of using it to see a change I think. I think it depends how well you tan anyway though - I tan easily so it made a difference fairly quickly.

Lucycat · 16/03/2006 14:45

I tend to use slightly less than a normal moisturiser and mix it with my normal body lotion of places like ankles, knees and elbows. i don't use it on my face, I have those self tan wipes for that - I found it a bit drying.

I think it's great though.

BettySpaghetti · 16/03/2006 14:46

Thanks GDG, will def give it a go -I've used the Body Shop one before but have found that it can go patchy if you're not careful.

Lucycat · 16/03/2006 14:46

on places like.......

BettySpaghetti · 16/03/2006 14:47

lahdeedah · 16/03/2006 14:55

i was in wilkinsons trying to get holiday skin there as its cheaper and they had sold out but they had there own brand one so i tried that, its brilliant!! i put it on after a shower yesterday and by lunchtime i looked like i had been away for a couple of days and no streaks or orangeness i used the one for darker skin so cant comment on the orangeness of the light skin version. and its fine to use on your face as well im normally a die hard st tropez girl but have just got back of hols so have a natural tan for once but i could find myself switching to this stuff!
