Is it possible to find a gorgeous white/cream girls wardrobe?

I adore the little white company ones here \link{http://www.gltc.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?language=en-GB&productID=G8740&CatID=Product\Little White Co.}

But a bit over my budget - have checked Ikea, like the Hemnes but too big.
Want a pretty white or cream, double door, or one door and half drawers wardrobe.
John Lewis and GLTC have nice ones, but again a little pricey would like under £300 pretty please!
Anyone know of anything?

I wish I knew. That is just the one I want for dd. If I had the money...

jerry21 · 16/03/2006 14:30

I'm sure I saw ones similar to what your describing in Argos - not sure of the quality though!!!! Wink

cupcakes · 16/03/2006 14:31

Do you want wood? Anything affordable seems to be plasticy.

Piffle · 16/03/2006 14:34

I know
would like it to be sturdy and look like wood Grin
Might just try and stash and save for a decent one - it would last for a decade or more for her!

maybe a bit pink!

Piffle · 16/03/2006 14:39

too pink!!!!!!!! :)
Thanks though I am allergic to Argos as anything I've ever bought from there has disintegrated!

mummygow · 16/03/2006 14:43

have a lovely one in mothercare (provencal wardrobe) but still very pricey

bambi06 · 16/03/2006 14:45

vertbaudet have gorgeous ones

Auntymandy · 16/03/2006 14:45

\link{http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10103&storeId=7&langId=-20&productId=14341\or this}

Piffle · 16/03/2006 14:51

thx AM the hensvik is too flimsy, we have tried all the ikea ones, I would it to be ikea one, but the other ones are too big :(

We've got \link{http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10103&storeId=7&langId=-20&productId=13189\this one} from Ikea and have painted it lilac for DDs room -it comes untreated and we've just used two coats of emulsion. The finish is lovely.

Piffle · 16/03/2006 14:53

I checked vertbaudet but they only have a canvas one
There is nice one at jojomamanbebe, but it is £270 and its wuite small and not too sturdy
I cannot believe I am being so picky about this ffs!!!

I did think about that too, I quite like the stranda - the matchinf drawers are enormous though .
Has it got shelves inside?

OP posts:
Piffle · 16/03/2006 14:56

just read the info :)
Might have to resort to that I think :)

If you can bear painting it yourself, the Scandinavia range from Argos is quite sturdy and takes paint well - we have the bedside tables painted in a white eggshell finish and they look really good. Try \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6428813.htm\This} one with drawers, or \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6308562.htm\this} one without.

Squeezing the budget at £375 are the \link{http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=X37&p=810&o=1\painted} one and the \link{http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=X37&p=824&o=1\girly} one from Next - cheaper at £275 is their \link{http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=X37&p=828&o=1'boyish'} one.

I know you've looked in Ikea - was the \link{http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15597&catalogId=10103&storeId=7&productId=42755&langId=-20&parentCats=155971585215856\Hensvik} no good? Or the little \link{http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?topcategoryId=15597&cattype=sub&categoryId=15857&parentCats=15597*15852&storeId=7&catalogId=10103&langId=-20&chapterId=15859\Pax} on the left in the pic at the top of the page?

Piffle · 16/03/2006 15:06

the problem with pax is a matching chest of drawers plus its
he hensvik I did not like as it seemed flimsy.
I do like the next heart one actually, bit over budget but worth putting on shortlist
I might have to go back and re evaluate the hemnes here \link{http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10103&storeId=7&langId=-20&productId=46898\as seen here}

Thx for all this help I'm crap at this kind of shopping online!

Can you not get one made?

Piffle · 16/03/2006 17:37

never thought of that, probably not as I'm far too disorganised to ask someone and follow it up :)
