How do I get pen/felt tip off Brio track?

I've been given some Brio track to supplement the set I've bought for Christmas but some of it has biro or felt tip on it. Other than sand paper does anyone know a good way of cleaning it? I'm told it's not an usual problem . . .

I've used brillo pads to get pen off dd wooden table. Worked really well and no scratch marks

I used flash with bleach spray and left it on for a couple of hours. That worked, Good Luck!

Try a bit of toothpaste on an old toothbrush. My pal works in the cleaning business and you'd be surprise the amount of overlap in the various products!

Thanks everyone, I went with the combination of the bleach spray followed by a brillo pad for what was left (after about 50 pieces I was getting a little bored but worth the effort in the end)
