Bloody fold-up umbrellas!

Can anyone recommend a good quality fold-up umbrella please? I'm past caring how much it costs!

I've just returned one to Cath Kidston as the bloomin thing kept closing whilst up! I wouldn't bother getting a fold up one, they are all flimsy, even the expensive ones.

I have one which, in order to put down, you have to practically stab yourself hard with it. Goes up at the touch of a button though. Sorry, can't help.

hilda I think I'd be peepared to stab myself to put it down of it works well apart from that. What brand is it?
