I'm wanting to buy a climbing frame/slide combo for DD1 (nearly 3) for her bday but would like something that maybe has two slides - one small -one large so that DD1 will get to use it without waiting til she gets to 3 (shes 6mths).

I think it has to be of the plastic, colourful style rather than TP's metal but you may sway me.

I like some of the little tikes ones - but if this is the option - where is the cheapest to buy?

Don't want to spend more than £200 brand new.

Been searching Ebay - but as usual, everything is for collect only and more than 50miles from us.

help.

We've got one of \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3680946/Trail/C%24cip%3D36406.Toys%2Band%2Bbaby%3EC%24cip%3D36407.Bikes%2Band%2Boutdoor%2Btoys%3EC%24cip%3D36416.Playhouses%2Band%2Bactivity%2Bcentres.htm\these}, but we got it off ebay for about £75. Fortunately the chap was only about 9 miles from us.

My dd's were 4 and 2 last summer and they loved it. DD1's not very physical, so it's great - if she were, it would probably not be big enough for her.

I've been sent a code for 20% off ELC which you're welcome to if you want - would make \link{http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-33488\this} with two slides £240? Online or by phone you need to use the code TREAT.

I bought a brand new berchet slide that has a house thing attached at the side and the step bit can be set like a rock climbing thing[not very good description]. Anyway I got it on ebay for £50 and it is fab as DS is 2.5yrs and loves it.

We have a TP explorer one. We have had it years. The advantage of it is that you can set it at toddler height when they are young and then add the extra height when they are older. All my children, aged between nearly 10 and 3 play on it. Actually the youngest 2 played on it even at full height from the age of 2, but then they are fearless!

Do the metal TP ones not just go all rusty?

DumbledoresGirl · 13/03/2006 23:02

No GDG. Smile

Our TP one has been out for 6 years & no rust, would recommend TP anytime.
