Has your Maxi Cosi Priori XP ever broken?

I have had my Priori for nearly two years and the side wing has completely snapped off! It is being held in place by the cover. Is this normal? My husband feels that it doesn't matter as its only polystyrene so can't provide that much protection anyway, whereas I think we should buy a new one. Has anyone had this happen to them? Can it be repaired, or does it need to be ditched?

i would definitely replace it!!!!!!

the side wings provide side impact protection and are important!

I would email Maxi cosi and ask them if this should have happened!

Many thanks, starlover. I said something similar to DH - he reckons he could glue it back together!!! Its the top part btw, the wings that go either side of their head. Just realised I didn't make that very clear.
