What sort of raincover and what sort of buggy?

Would say it was not normal.

Kelly1978 · 09/03/2006 11:08

I used to get that with ds's cossatto. I think it is quite common with strollers, as it needs to be well away from the wheels.

biglips · 09/03/2006 11:22

its a kingswood make and the raincover came with it (cant find a link for it of the one ive got) but its similar \link{http://www.babycare-direct.co.uk/special_offers_1.html\the cosatto helix as the raincover only goes to the top of the footrest and not underneath the footrest and the raincover covered the hood too}

i bought it about 10 mths ago when baba was 7 mths in the summer so her footrest was up and since then seh had grown and her footrest is down.. the raincover seems to be too short

I get that with DS's Maclaren Quest -what doesn't help is that hes also discovered kicking against it so its going to have a great big hole in it soon as well -wet knees as well as wet feet!

Kelly1978 · 09/03/2006 11:43

that helix is v similar to the cossatto that I had. The raincover can't go any lower because of the wheels. You should be able to get wellies in mothercare.

biglips · 09/03/2006 11:45

its silly though isnt it? as babas legs were soaking as well and she got a cold on top of that! (i had a docs appointment yesterday) so time to hunt out for them wellies in Mothercare

yep. Sad ds used to get soaked too. His socks got dye all over them from his shoes. Then the rain soaks slowly up their bottoms. I look out for that now when buying a buggy, lots are like it.

biglips · 09/03/2006 19:31

oh dear kelly... i can imagine he wasnt happy an all Sad

ah ha! when i was out once it started to raina nd i had to go to mothercare for a raincover for buggy.

only they had no stroller ones and i ended up getting a bigger one! and it's FAB! covers ds's feet and hangs all down the back and covers my bag and up the sides of the buggy too...

can't remember which one it was though... ho hum

We have the same problem with our chicco 0.5 pushchair. (from argos - raincover included)
We went into Mothercare and they tried loads of different rain covers on for us but still none would cover his feet!

If anyone knows of a rain cover that might help post a link :)

Lauraa83 · 09/03/2006 20:56

actually, just thought I will try the rain cover off his pram/bigger pushchair! should have thought of that before Blush

starlover · 09/03/2006 20:57

ok i think \link{http://www.mothercare.com/invt/lt1767&bklist=icat,5,shop,shotravelpushchairs,traaccessories,accraincovers\this} is the one I got
