Steam ovens: a healthy choice, or only for people with more money than sense? Discuss.

So esoteric are they, that I'm going to Miele HQ next week for a one-to-one demo of how to use a steam oven
Has anyone else got one? Thinking of getting one? Know someone with one?
The thing is, I probably WILL get one, being a part-time lentil weaver and all that. But the decent sized ones cost over a thousand pounds.

They do seem to be quite rare. BUT Anthony Worrall Thompson is an enthusiast (hmm, is that a good or a bad thing?)
