Ideally would want to keep our telephone number.
Anyone use anyone cheaper than BT ?

You still have to rent the line from BT I think, but you don't have to route your calls through them. We have OneTel UK Talk, which has no fee and provides free weekend calls to any landline, so we use that at weekends, During the week we use 18866.

Have a look \link{http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/callchecker/\Here} for the latest news on who's cheapest.

I used to have homecall. I got a free portable phone, and they were really cheap. Definately shop around tho.

Mercy, if you signed up with \link{http://www.onetel.co.uk/index.php?node=landline-sukt\OneTel} (or other similar deal) it would mean you'd save on your weekend calls, which would then be completely free. They are currently costing you 3p each with 18866!
