Appropriate Ride On for 17 month old

Hi,
Im really hoping someone could recommend an appropriate ride on for my 17 month old.
I'm not getting a scooter - been very put off these with the accidents I have seen.
I'd really appreciate recommendations as I'm sure its one of those things if you get wrong you'll buy several of them.

Key things to bear in mind is storage is minimal so it will probably need to live outside.

One of those little plastic cars, like this, preferably without handle bar in back.

We had a scuttlebug and would highly recommend it
