kindle help with wi fi please on mobile

I am on holiday and intended on using the wi fi advertised at our cottage to download a few books except now here there is no wi fi. I have a galaxy Samsung phone i am using to post this because i am certain some clever mumsneter will know how to make my phone a wi fi thingy and save my evening . Thanks

I think you have to pay extra for a wifi hotspot, therefore need to contact your service provider.

I can easily turn on my wifi hotspot - not charged extra (was lucky with my contract a few years ago so sticking with it .)

if it is possible for you: (i also have a galaxy - the s advance but i suspect that all galaxies/androids are v similar)
go into settings
then into wireless and network
then tethering and portable hotspot
then portable wifi hotspot settings...
