... ring slings like the slingeasy (which according to Mumsnet is the best carrier) in Mothercare and places like that? I'm always baffled by that question - when I go into town carrying dd2 in the sling I get sooooooo many comments from people, and I'm often stopped and asked where I got it from, but when I say 'over the Internet' I can see that it puts people off. Which is such a shame, I think, because I would have loved to already have had a sling with dd1, who absolutely HATED the Baby Bjorn, but in those days I didn't know about other carriers either - I'm sure there are other Mums and babies who would like to have easier access!

I've found the same here in NZ. The best sling ever is only available in a really tiny cafe oe over the internet and is not stocked in the baby shops. When you ask the baby shops they say "there is no demand". Yeah, and I bet they said that to the last 10 people too!
