We are going to Florida in April and my 20 month old is currently in heavy winter boots. Any idea if I can get sandals for him (from a proper shoe shop as i want them fitted) at this time of year?

Don't know about proper shoe shops but Next and places like that are full of summer shoes (and clothes already) annoying when it's snowing outside.

Saw some Doodles (cotton fabric shoes)in Clarks yesterday so probably yes.

I think this MUST be the time of year to buy them as there never seem to be any left when I statr looking around about May time!

Absolutely ! Our local shoe store, One Small Step chain, has a huge variety already in stock. I also think the mothercare/clarks also had sandals in stock last weekend.
