My niece will be one this month. She has lots of toys and clothes and I would like to buy something unusual.
Anyone have any ideas?

It wasn't so long ago that mine were 1. how quickly we forget!

ds had \link{http://www.holz-toys.co.uk/showdetails.asp?id=50\this} for his first birthday... he adores it!

For my DS's christening, my SIL bought him a limited edition framed antique print - lovely. I was really touched and he will keep it always.

Thanks. Please keep them coming. It is so hard. It gets boring to just buy another toy or outfit.

we have a print from my FIL by the children's illustrator Jan Ormerod, of a child spoon-feeding her dolly...it's truly lovely, something to really treasure

how about a nice charm bracelet. A friend had one given to her dd. The aunt then wants to buy a charm for it each year. I thought this sounded lovely as its something to be added to for years to come.
