Mamas & Papas Pulse

Please help - this is my first post on Mumsnet. Anyone have the Mamas & Papas Pulse? After having compared it at the shop with the Maclaren Quest, I found a number of things I prefer about the Pulse (brakes, hood, calf rest, suspension, seat recline, wheels). I am just having a hard time finding any reviews online to know whether the Pulse's durability over time stands up to the reputation of Maclaren. Thanks for any comments you can offer!

i had a pulse for ds2 (who is now 4 so no longer needs a buggy) and it was great, i found it comparable tot eh maclaren techno, witht eh large hood, comfy seat and better brakes than the quest.

i am a bit of a buggyaholic and have had/used most strollers around and the pulse was one of my favourites, i like the ease of use, the price and the fact that you can get good accessories cheaply not m&p's usual prices, e.g the footmuff to match the balck pulse is only £25 comapred to m&p's usual footmuff prioces of about £50.

Thanks for the reply, Vicky. It's good to hear from a buggyaholic, as I'm quite paranoid when making pushchair purchases. Once you use it, you can't return it, and you don't know if you like it until you use it!

I have one. I have not used the quest, but have a volo. I compared it with other mclarens int he shop and much prefered it too. It lays flatter, has a bigger hood and the brakes are much better. Many months down the line, I am not sorry I bought it. I think it is a nicer pushchair than the Mclaren equivilants.

The maclarens annoy me because when the aseat is reclined flat you cant get to the basket. I dont know if this would be the same on the Pulse.

I;ve got a pulse and agree it's great. if you want a raincover though get one of Mothercare's own - the mamas and papas one ripped only after a few month's use and the mothercare one is much more robust and covers the whole buggy.

Thanks for the advice on the raincover, Bagpussmice. I think I will go for the Pulse and the Mothercare raincover. Thanks to everyone for the comments!

I disagree about the raincover. We have had no problem with it, and I think it is a better fit than the Mclaren one we have for our Volo.

I had a m&p pulse until recently when I had my 2nd DS and had to get a double buggy.
They're great, and you don't see many around(not where I live anyway!). There's not a thing I can fault about them....buy one!
