My ds is almost 2 and sleeps in a cot bed but he recently managed to jump out of it and gave us a big shock. We want to use it for dd now who is 10 weeks and currently still sleeping in a moses basket. Not sure what bed I should buy for ds and would be grateful for any advice....

if it's a cot bed then why not turn it into the bed?

We got the toddler bed from ikea. I like it as you can adjust the size, making it a cotbed size to a full bed length. (the matress they sell with it allows you to do this.

I know it's not to everyones taste, but it has worked extremely well for us and will be in use for a few more years yet!

We've just bought (awaiting delivery tomorrow) of a John Lewis single pine bedstead for our DS. I didn't want to go for a toddler bed then get another one in a few years. It's about the same price as a similar one from Ikea and includes free delivery. \link{http://www.johnlewis.com/Furniture/Bedroom+Furniture/Beds+and+Mattresses/Beds/230217354/Product.aspx\this bed}

We've got this one and have had it for ds1 since he was two. We fitted the rail even at the lowest height so he couldn't fall out. He's now seven and it's at the top with his computer underneath.
