Hi, just got kinde on my phone and looking for some recommendations of books to read. its been a while since i read a book and have now got back into reading again.

i dont want to pay too much for a book (max £5ish) in case i dont like it. I am pretty open minded and will read anything apart from books about abused/neglected children (i would constantly be in tears) books that are set in war times or books that are too historical based.

i have recently read "Remember Me" by Lesley Pearse and liked that but her books seems have a very similar theme so not sure about reading another just yet.

i have also read "how to murder your husband and many other handy hints",

i basically like a book that's easy to read and will keep me wanting more.

i DONT want to read 50 shades of grey cos i am sick of hearing people going on about it.

thanks

I've just signed up for a newsletter from ereaderiq.co.uk which sends me details of free books. I haven't read any yet though so I can't recommend any.

You could also subscribe to the Kindle Daily Deal newsletter to get details of their 99p books - different one each day.

How do you subscribe, do you have a link?

iamme43 · 19/07/2012 21:01

Thanks............... I will be spending a lot of time at the ''daily deal'' site

iamme43 · 19/07/2012 21:01

Fifty shades ................ I am trying not to read it but keep feeling the urge...

Maybe search on Amazon for kindle books, search by lowest priced and see what takes your fancy. There are a lot of free books on there, many of them dreadful but there are some hidden gems. Plus, if you download one and it's rubbish, it hasn't cost you anything Smile

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 19/07/2012 22:02

Remember you can download free samples of a book (usually a chaptor or so) so you can try before you buy.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 19/07/2012 22:04

And you've got 7 days to return a book if you buy it and hate it or if you have read it

frenchfancy · 20/07/2012 18:10

Is that right? So as long as I read a book within 7 days I can return it? Or is there a catch?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 20/07/2012 18:40

"Books you purchase from the Kindle Store are eligible for return and refund if we receive your request within 7 days of the date of purchase. Once a refund is issued, you will no longer have access to the book."

No catch :)

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 20/07/2012 18:41

What type of books do you like?

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 20/07/2012 18:42

I could recommend some crime/detective books if that's any good?
