How can I reregister my kindle?

Dh bought me a kindle a while back and registered it on his amazon account so that he payed for any books. Lovely though this is I want to put it on my account so that I can browse amazon on the computer and download straight to my kindle. I hope this makes sense.

I think your DH will have to login to his Amazon account, go to Kindle section, then to Manage Your Kindle and then Deregister it. I guess it will ask whose account you then want to re-register it with.

Yes, get him to deregister it, then you can register it.

Just a thought though - if you have both Kindles registered to the same account then you both get access to all the books downloaded. Me and DH do this because lots of what we read overlaps. Why don't you consider his Amazon account a shared account and use that to browse and download new books? Or you can also just do it from the Kindle itself? Of course, if the two of you read totally different stuff, this is less of a draw.

Thanks for the replies. Dh doesn't have a kindle it's just on his normal account. I don't seem to get the offers and things when I look straight from my kindle. Am I doing something wrong?

I think it's just easier to put it on my account. I will get him to deregister it and see what happens I think.

I'm a bit confused now. When I go to the kindle section on the amazon site on the computer it seems to be different to when I go to the kindle store through the actual kindle.
