also the best prices i could find are:
£199.99 chassis (3 rider though) £25 sun canopy from babybirds.co.uk

£75 seat unit £99.99 carrycot with raincover from buggyland.co.uk

£30 footmuff £32 bag £22 raincover from groovystyle.co.uk

anyone got any better variations?

how stupid is this!on groovystyle.co.uk the package with chassis, seat unit, carry cot, car seat & 3 raincovers is £539 but if you buy the package with the chassis, seat unit and carrycot with 2 raincovers which is £399 and buy the car seat(£119) and extra raincover(£17.50) separately altogether it is cheaper - £535.50.

hate to ask but why on earth would you need 3 raincovers! Sound v pricey Shock

Is \link{http://www.babybirds.co.uk/PramsMutsy.php\this } cheaper ?

tweeni · 27/02/2006 18:24

one for the carrycot one for the seat bit and one for the car seat

that is where i am buying the car seat and car seat raincover from separately. it works out slightly cheaper and all those little bits make a difference don't they!!

the Maxi Cosi Cabrio seems cheaper than the Mutsy one and as compatible - has great reviews.

its not a lie down one though which i want because it saves waking the baby when getting it out the car and having to put it in a carrycot to lie flat.

I see now although tbh I suspect you'll get limited use out of that particular feature - just having to fiddle with the seat will probably wake him/her even assuming you manage to keep him/her asleep as you lift it out of the car. Anyway, your choice. What is the tray ?

tweeni · 27/02/2006 20:16

i see people using car seats as part of a travel system all the time because of convenience though but i don't like the idea of them not lying flat for all that time. its the carrycot that will get limited use i suspect but they are so lovely!oh its just a tray that fits on the pushchair but i haven't been able to find one anywhere.

You'd probably find a lot of the travel systems you see are because otherwise the pushchair itself is unsuitable for a newborn and/or only faces forwards. They probably don't have a carrycot as well.
