My friend has been suffering from a really bad back and has been told to wea a belt. The one she has is fine when walking but no good for sitting down. Can anyone suggest a more comfortable one?

I asked my GP to refer me to a obstetric physio who gave me an enormous tubi grip type thing to wear which really did the trick (and was free obviously)- don't know about the commercialones though.

I had a Reenie support belt which was v. good. I also had a larger, stronger one lent to me by the NHS (physiotherapy). The Reenie one was much more comfortable generally and I could sit down in it whereas I couldn't sit down in the other one at all! The only drawback was that it wasn't really sufficient right at the end.
