3 car seats in an estate?

Hiya

I've had a good trawl of these threads about getting 3 car seats into a variety of cars and the solution keeps coming back to mpvs. I'm not too excited about owning one although I appreciate they are practical but I'm wondering whether anyone can recommend an estate? We've eyed up the passat, mondeo and vaux insignia - the latter having 3 isofix but being relatively new on the market so high cost second hand.

We are hoping to spend about 10k
Any thoughts?

How are they more practical than an mpv? I can't see many estates having a boot as big as a Mazda5 or Smax?

And I couldn't get 3 car seats in an A6 (estate ) - can you really get 3 across a passat?

I can get 2 high back boosters and a maxi cosi priori across the back of my 5series BMW. A squash but works.

We didn't want to change cars when DC3 arrived and it's easier now we're not usuing the baby carrier - but a fiddle to get them done up - lots of scraped knuckles - but yes it can be done!

Totally depends on the car. I can see you are desperately keen not to get one, I'm not sure there's a website anywhere that lists what fits 3... Is there are Car Giant or Car Supermarket near you that you could take the 3 seats to and try them all out?

still not clear apparently. I'm not keen on an mpv, I would like an estate, I want to know who has an estate with 3 child car seats in it and what make it is? The only one I know can is the vauxhall insignia, but there must be more. Can anyone help?
