New pram mattress??

no 2 due in a few weeks and as we are very limited in terms of space the baby will have to sleep in the carrycot part of the pram until we move in the summer.
Just wondered whether I should buy a new pram mattress. The old one is a simple piece of foam which dd slept on fine, but only for a few weeks as she went into her cot.
Any opinions please?

What about just a nice comfy blanket UNDER the matress?

My dd's actually were in a moses basket for the first few weeks and that was set in the pram in the daytime so might be cosy too? (Though don't know if maybe would be a bit closed in for all night?)

I'm in the same position and am currently planning to (only £8 from Mothercare) 'cause I think that DS has made a dint where he lay in the same position for the 8 weeks or so he was in it. Will be getting it out of the loft in the next few weeks so will fully "assess" it then!
