Only another six quid or so, but I really want to hear about people's Best Things from Lakeland.

I'll do a link so that you all click on it and look for me. I know I never bother to open a new browser and find sites myself

Lakeland

JackieNo · 26/02/2006 15:15

I've got a Lakeland order on the go - up to about £40, but trying to whittle down, rather than boost to the free gift limit. If you have wooden or laminate floors, loving the Californian styled mop thingy (although it still doesn't get used as much as it should be). Liquid thread on my current list, as am dreadful at sewing, so hoping it might help out.

Is she like Papa Lazarou in the League of Gentlemen? 'You're my husband now..so go and fold something up'

AntheaTurnerPuff · 26/02/2006 15:20

Ok, well stuff I've bought from there and used loads:

The professional piping kit - mainly for doing the topping on shepherd's pie/fish pie as I used to get in a right mess

The cake tin liners, especially the loaf tin size

Mary Berry's little flour spreader thing

The set of different size clear plastic bags - handy for all kinds of stuff

The sets of plastic clips for sealing eg freezer bags etc

JackieNo · 26/02/2006 15:23

Oh yes - can't believe how many of those Klippit things we've got around. V useful. Bought one of the things for timing boiled eggs in the last order - haven't used it yet though. Oh dear - just shoot me now - I'm an ad-man's dream (or 'sucker' as they're known).

ponygirl · 26/02/2006 15:30

Aaaargh! No-one's said! Pleeease don't make me watch. (She probably won't do it again anyway.) JackieNo - I really really don't want to watch. That woman is the telly equivalent of fingernails down a blackboard!

JackieNo · 26/02/2006 15:33

OK - Just for you. Lay towel out flat. Fold into thirds along the long edge, then bring short ends into middle, then fold in half (where the short ends meet in the middle). Does that make sense? I'm sure someone's explained it better on another thread.

ponygirl · 26/02/2006 15:56

Don't understand, but thank you for explaining! [Off to find a towl to practise...]

Twiglett · 26/02/2006 17:34

Was in NEXT today and saw that they had "dark wash - light wash" laundry duo bins.

!!

prettybird · 27/02/2006 15:30

I have a "wrapping paper organiser" - it's an old suit carrier: you put the rolls of wrapping paper into the main bit and use the pockets for the ribbon, scissors, sellotape, tags etc. it makes me feel very smug and organised!

.... but somehow, the sellotape and scissors still disappear from it.

Dawn060861 · 27/02/2006 22:28

hi, I think I have been sucked in but it is all very tongue in cheek, Anthea is harmless! Thanks to perfect housewife my house is so tidy.
I got a new kitchen bin,10 clear plastic shoe boxes and a set of wicker boxes, yesterday it took me all day but all my paperwok is sorted and filed, I have a tidy wardrobe and my laundry room looks tidier than it has been for ages. I have even got a bag filled with all my cleaning products so I can carry them from room to room, I want one like Anthea's, it is pretty. Blush
The door organiser that she had all her bangles in are available from poundland! and the conicle cleaning thingy that can clean inside tall vases etc (looks like a mini red christmas tree)is from lakeland is on offer at the moment Smile
x Dawn ( gosh this keyboard is filthy!!! LOL)

i DONT WANT TO BE SUCKED OFF BY ANTHEA

its like a bad 90's dream/nightmare

Skribble · 27/02/2006 23:55

OK hands up who is now folding their towels ala Anthea???

chonky · 28/02/2006 07:18

lol Tinygang at Papa Lazarou

Do you think Anthea will start up a company like 'Really Linda Barker' - 'I fold things, I think you will too'? eek!

I have to admit to wanting one of those lingerie bags that you put your bras in to be washed. Anyone seen one anywhere please?
