I'll probably be banned from mumsnet for not knowing the answer to this but where can you buy play-doh? I'd like the real stuff - not copies like ELC's soft stuff - as i don't think it's as good. Many thanks in advance.

Try your nearest branch of 'Toys R'Us', Robbie. But I'd recommend you can phone up first to see what's in stock. Warning: You may have to wait a while for an answer.

Robbie you could always try making it yourself. I always make mine and so far it has turned out fine except for once. If you keep it in an airtight container it keeps for months and you can add food colouring and or glitter to make endless variations. The recipe is:
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon oil (babyoil makes it smell nice)
1 cup of water and colouring
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
Mix in large saucepan and stir over a low heat until mixture leaves side of pan. Knead and allow to cool. Store in airtight container.
Hours of fun and peace guaranteed!

Many thanks. My mother-in-law makes it occasionally but I think I'll try woolies - not much of a cook!
