Car seat in a 3door Audi s3

We are expecting our first baby in 8 weeks and have an Audi s3, which has 3 doors. We are in 2 minds about whether to buy a new car or not. On one hand we don't want the extra expense in a year when our income will go down when I am on maternity leave. On the other, while you can fit a car seat in, it requires a lot of adjustment to the passenger seat in order to get it in and out, not to mention how difficult it might be to take baby out of car seat and put he/she back in again. Other issues are boot space... There isnt much in the s3. However, not sure
we are quite ready for a sensible car!
Does anyone have any experience of a similar situation?

You can make it work if you want to. We have a Mini Cooper and a one year old. We upgraded from a Smart, so it feels massive to us!

For a baby seat we have a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix along with the Easyfix base - we just have to plop the seat onto the base - no need to clamber into the back of the car to fiddle with seatbelts.

We have an iCandy cherry buggy. The chassis easily fits in the boot, and other bits and pieces can squish in around it. The carrycot or seat unit fit behind the drivers seat. Alternatively you can fix the car seat onto the chassis if you prefer.

We've managed weekends away with the buggy, our luggage and a travel cot. Babies don't need that much stuff.
