Help! Frantic buying of baby care products!

I would like some advice on what items are essential for when my beautiful baby arrives?!! There are so many things, what do I really need?

Moses basket (unless you want to co sleep), few sleepsuits and vests, nappies, cotton wool and/or baby wipes, car seat and pram.

Formula, bottles and steriliser if not BF

When they are still tiny they dont need that much!

Cotton wool and water according to all the mums i know! Olive oil to get rid of meconium (first poo)

Apparently everything else is just marketing

Ps have you found the Ante-Natal section yet? There'll be a thread you can join for people due in the same month as you (I'm December) and they're fab!

I've had so much support from mine, there's other first timers like me mixed up with experienced mums on their 3rd, 4th or 5th. No question too daft!
