bike helmet for a 3 month old?

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any experience of bike riding with a baby? he is 3 months but very strong for his age. i have a rear bike seat and we have just moved to a village and i cant wait to go exploring on my bike with him. is he too young? if not does he need a helmet if so what sort and where can i get one??

I think 3 months is way too young. Think more like 9 months. Re getting a cycle helmet, I'd go to a decent cycle shop and get some advice. You need to get one that fits properly.

I would say he's to young and I can't imagine he'll be old enough for a long time. You have to think what would happen if you fall off. A 3 month old has very little in the way of muscle strength and their bones are very soft. Even with a hat on an impact with the floor could be catastrophic and everyone has accidents. I use a bike seat with my 3 year old and he thinks it's terrific but there is no way i'd have ever put him in it any younger than about 2.

You could try one of those towing things?
