oo we just got DD a v tech bear one. It is fab with lights and music but it is voice activated so if she cries etc it will go on as the winnie the pooh one we had was great but when it stopped she wanted more of it so we had to go in and wind it up etc.

just thought that sounds lazy..lol not that i minded winding it up but it disturbed her and she thought it was play time. DS had the same winnie the pooh one and loved it and the 5mins it played was enough for him.

Hello
We have an 'animal circus' one from Mothercare, that's what I think it was called anyway. It's the orange one that plays 'when you wish upon a star'. It was £20, I chose it for the song really, love that song Have heard that some have remote controls now and that would be a handy feature to have IMO, save getting up and winding it again! Also there is another I have seen on television, not sure what it's called, it may be the tinylove one??? and it has beads on that slide up and down as the mobile moves around and they 'clacked' IYKWIM, didn't think it was very soothing

i dont like wind up ones, when you have young baby and busy with everything you got to wind that bl@@dy mobile too
i had mamas and papas and dd never interested it, it had twinkle star melody which i find nice, certainly she is not
and then bought tiny love symphony thing, just because it was remote controlled and also bright colours white and black.
dd loved it, she was so excited everytime when we turned it on. btw, it swings to the side, which is great. once baby is sleep you swing it out of the cot.
dd had hers on untill 5m and she started pullng the bits and turn it on and off, started playing so we pulled it out.
i also had fisher price soother thing, which was a waste of money. and also tomys night thingy also plays cute sooting music but dd never liked them she is defo daddys rocker girl, not mummy`s disco girl
