You can buy them from Halfords/ToysrUs/Mothercare

zippitippitoes · 21/02/2006 14:31

by all accounts not 2leftfeet

it is worth having a seat fitting checked unless yoiu are confident to ry yourself

John Lewis, Baby Boom

Fimbo · 21/02/2006 14:33

Mothercare and John Lewis have replica car seats for you to try them out on.

Halfords fit them for you. We bought isofix and were really glad to have it fitted, even though our fitter was a bit evangelistic and chatted to us for ages.

Hulababy · 21/02/2006 20:59

Kiddiecare, I recently used Baby Basics too and that went well.

Do NOT use Two Left Feet

edodgy · 21/02/2006 21:01

I used babycare direct, who also gave me 3 free gifts of a baby on board car notice, 2 weaning cups and a baby scissor and nail clipper set. They also gave me an isofix base which i didnt pay for but I was honest and sent it back (there aren't any isofix points in our car, so not that honest!)

you got to go and try them first, if you buy online and it doesnt fit your car you cant return the carseat!!!!!!
its officially kown that any carseat if its sold it fully non refundable, as the safety and healthy thingyaccidents and etc..
so its always best to go mothercare, toysrus, halfords and try in your car,and them surf on the net and find the bargain
good luck

I got a good deal with kiddicare for a maxi cosi xp last year but like someone said here go somewhere like mothercare and halfords first to check they actually fit into your car.

have always found kidddicare to be fast with delivery.

MerlinsBeard · 22/02/2006 19:18

oh god! i hadn't thought about not being able to send it back!!!! Thank you for that!

Kiddicare have a HUGE shop at Peterborough, if you can get there, and they'll fit the carseat for you. They have always been very knowledgeable - they could probably tell you before you bought whether the car seat you were interested in would fit in your car.
