I was in the Peter Jones appliance department this morning, and was astounded by a new gadget - an electric eyelash curler!!! WTF??!!

What's the most bizarre gadget you've ever seen/heard of? What should be invented?

i'd love an electric eyelash curler! how much was it??

Enid · 21/02/2006 11:12

they are supposed to be great

LadySherlockofLGJ · 21/02/2006 11:13

I wondered how long it would take you to find this EPIS.

Earlybird · 21/02/2006 11:14

Not sure about the price - less than £20, I think. But tbh, I was so stunned that I didn't even check.

What do they do? How do they work? Are they heated sort of like a curling iron for hair?

i've got some bday money burning a hole in my pocket, lgj! already had my hair coloured on friday. it's a toss up between the shu umera curler and whatever other goodies they have in harvey nick's.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 21/02/2006 11:16

Just for you Epis

JackieNo · 21/02/2006 11:20

And there are others available too

Earlybird · 21/02/2006 11:21

OOh - it's only £14.95 - a real bargain! Maybe I should reconsider!

Expat - have you ever used one of these?

expatinscotland · 21/02/2006 11:25

nnoooo, early. i want one, tho. i've been using a shisheido curler, but was going to try the shu umera one.

Earlybird · 21/02/2006 11:37

Well, go ahead and treat yourself expat! What a concept to buy something we don't actually need! We all could use a bit of completely unecessary luxury in our lives, so go for it! I'll live vicariously through you, until I decide I can't stand it any longer and simply must have one for myself!

Actually, would be kind of a fun birthday present for a few friends....

I seem to remember that the Blinc one on the page that I linked to is the one that Kylie uses (not sure if that's a recommendation or not)

ENID

DONT BE DAFT

You don't have time for this sort of fripperly. Now get back in the hairshirt and suffer like you are supposed to

rummum · 21/02/2006 11:45

I use the old fashioned ones that look even more like an instrument of torture...
they're only about £3 ish and I wouldn't be without them...
