Where can I buy a rainbow (real)?

DS (28 months) has been on and on, ALL WEEK, that he wants to go to the shop and buy Bear (his teddy) a present. I have been promising that we would go tomorrow. This morning I asked him what Bear would like, and he said 'a rainbow'. I was hoping this would be a mobile, or window sticker...or that I could get away with one of those helium balloons on a stick...but no, on elaboration, it is "a little rainbow in the real sky that Bear can sit under and look at".

I'm hoping that a mobile will in fact do the trick...any easily accessible in highstreet shops? We could make one but I'm TERRIBLE at that sort of thing.

Blu, I have no idea short of going to a kind of hippy/ethnic type shop, but I just wanted to say what an utter sweetie-pie he sounds

How about this

Blu · 04/12/2003 18:24

Tamum, you are absolutely right; I hadn't thought of hippy/new-agey shops, for some reason. Will head out and follow the scent of incense....!
(Thanks!)

There's always this contraption . Seems kind of not magical enough for him somehow, but the best I could do! (why does eBay have loads of rainbow things as "gay interest" incidentally?)

You're welcome, BTW

Ooooh, I'm all excited now instead of panicked! THANK YOU ALL OF YOU...off to find our pot of gold....
