Recommendations for car to carry 4 bikes

As the title says. The car needn't be large and capacious, just wondering about options for transport of 2 adult bikes and 2 for young teens (so not small bikes). Also bike carriers - roof top or attached to the back?

I would go for a bike rack attached to a tow bar as the bikes are easy to attach. We have this one you can also tow with it as well although I don't think this would be possible with four bikes on but we have done it with three. We also have a trailer with load bars so bikes can also go on there. Putting bikes on the roof is really good but difficult to lift them there. Dh can do it but I can't.

What car depends on how much driving you do. You could get a smaller car but then a trailer. Although trailers are pricey useful for tip trip so inside of car stays nice. trailer we have

Not sure you can get a towbar carrier that holds 4 bikes.
You could compromise & get towbar carrier + a capacious car.
We can transport 5 people + 2 bikes in Kia Sedona (much as I loathe it, otherwise).
Something like Ford Torneo if you want something that carries 4 people + 4 bikes inside.

thanks for comments....I need to investigate further. Though current weather makes cycling slightly less appealing....

The tow bar one we have does take four bikes. I have seen specialist ones that take 6
