If my mum ordered a Kindle to be delivered to me to set up for her, would it already be assigned to her Amazon account or would I still need her a/c details to do so ? Alternatively could I set up a specific account on her behalf just for her Kindle transactions using vouchers.

Any advice on whether the Touch is better and less fiddlly to use than the basic model for older person with sight issues (I have the keyboard version and think she'd have difficullty using it)

many thanks

Can't advise about the touch edition, but you do set them up yourself once received.

You can either assign it to her current amazon account, or set up another one as you suggested, but you would need her bank details for it. I think a card needs to be registered to it for purchases.

Thanks that is what I'd suspected. Previous one came from John Lewis so just wasn't sure if Amazon did it for you.
