Mothers of fat footed babies - where did you get your lo's sandals from?

It's super hot and my 16 month old needs some but I tried several pairs in next yesterday and they were all too narrow. I'd rather go with Clarks or Startrite anyhow so I know they're 'good' for her feet.

Clarks sandals look like chiropody tools for geriatrics and startrite sandals are only made in standard F width. Any advice?

My dd is a g at 15 months. I got her some lovely clarks canvas doodles yesterday. They are fab as she can get them as wet and mucky as she wants.

DS aged 20 months is a G width. He has some canvas doodles which fit fine, others wouldn't go near. Anything with a t-bar style is not big enough but the ones with 2 velcro straps across the foot are ok.

I got him some open toe sandals in Next which are just a strap across the ball, a strap across the ankle and a strap across the back, all velcro adjustable.
