Is an ant farm a good idea? Can't believe I'm asking this! DS wants one, I think they seem pretty cool but are they (seriously!) cruel to the ants?? (there, I said it). Someone I know thinks so. Anybody got an ant farm?? Can you release them back into the wild when you tire of them? Is there some damning environmental reasons for not getting one ...Oh, and one other thing ... any chance they might escape?!!!
