Ds1 (7) wants one of these . (Course, he really wants a Playstation but we won't let him have one). Are they any good? Or total crap and a waste of money? I'm in two minds whether to let him try, but he's got birthday money and a gift card from Argos to spend and he's set his heart on this. But I don't want him to be disappointed if it's unuseable rubbish or breaks in five minutes.

I bought the pacman one for dh for xmas and he and dd1 (6) love it. Definitely not a waste of money as it is classic pacman and really good fun BUT they do EAT batteries so have plenty ready.
