don't get dyson

Meile cat and dog is the best bet

hunkermunker · 17/02/2006 15:29

Why do you want an upright? Dyson are shite IMO (and in Which's O too) - Miele cylinders are great (and half the price).

Fimbo · 17/02/2006 15:30

Ah good, I thought I was alone in thinking Dysons are crappola.

nailpolish · 17/02/2006 15:31

guess what - my last hoover was a miele cat and dog. i had it for centuries and i lost the head in the house move. we were skint, borrowed mums for a while and then bought the cheapo one

maybe i should just get another cat and dog

i thought about an upright because now i have a ginormous cupboard to keep one in!

will not get a dyson then

No, they're bollocks. Gaudy colours, heavy enough to give you a hernia and break down a lot. Am I selling them to you, NP?

morningpaper · 17/02/2006 15:32

cat and dog

a nice spanking new one

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm can't go wrong will last for years

jerry21 · 17/02/2006 15:34

Tell me about it, we have had about 3 hoovers in the past year!!!!!
The only one that seems to be alright is the Vax bagless one, its lasted a couple of months anyway.

nailpolish · 17/02/2006 15:34

yes and i do like the red it comes in

matches my kitchen

yep agree Dyson are crap
have now chucked two out
overdesigned imho
get a Henry, my mum always used to use them when she was a cleaner

nailpolish · 17/02/2006 15:35

oooh tell me more about vax

can you really wet and dry your carpet clean?

OP posts:
jerry21 · 17/02/2006 15:49

The vax bagless one doesn't wash your carpet, the one that does that costs an absolute fortune!!!!!
But the one we got is really good, I think it was about £90 and has lasted longer the the others (especially the cylinder ones - I HATE them, my one blew up!!!)

nailpolish · 17/02/2006 15:50

oh i cant decide

will let dh decide, so can moan at him if its crap

might just get another miele, then can order online without trailing shops!

thanks everyone

I bought a Miele Cat and Dog last summer and it by far the best hoover I've ever had. My sister has a Dyson Animal which she really likes.
